Baseball in Huntsville/Madison County

Professional baseball entertainment for Huntsville fans is provided by the Huntsville Stars, a AA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Stars compete in the Western division of the Southern league. All three local colleges have successful baseball programs : Calhoun Community College Alabama A&M University University of Alabama in Huntsville Each of the 11 public and several private high schools in the Huntsville/Madison/Madison County area have baseball programs. Some of the public middle schools in the Madison/Madison County area have baseball programs. A league for teenage boys, the Babe Ruth League, operated during the summer at various fields throughout Huntsville, including the Central Babe Ruth field at Brahan Springs Park (Panoramic view of field).
