The Spring City Cycling Club of Huntsville, Alabama organizes a wide variety of bicycling activities suitable for all biking enthusiasts. There are club sponsored rides every week throughout the year. The club participates and promotes bicycle advocacy for Huntsville and the surrounding areas. The club organizes an annual USCF race in the summer and a century tour in the fall. February SCCC Meetings The general meeting will be held at Logan's Roadhouse in southeast Huntsville on Monday February 12 at 7:00 p.m. People interested in eating at the general meeting should arrive around 6:15p.m. to get food prior to the meeting. Overview The Spring City Cycling Club promotes and endorses highway, road, street planning, etc. that provides continued access and routes for bike travel and recreation in the Huntsville, AL area and across the country. Bicycle Across Magnificent Alabama, Inc., BAMA, is a family-oriented, cross-state bicycle odyssey where families, singles, youngsters, and the young-at-heart can ride at their own pace and enjoy Alabama’s historic sites and natural beauty from the seat of a bicycle. By taking this approach, BAMA is truly one experience whereby you can achieve whatever you wish from the week. From a great social experience to quiet reflection, from a leisurely self-paced day of cycling to meeting a personal and recreational challenge, with your family or alone, and offering beautiful countryside and educational and historical sites along the way, BAMA offers a truly unique opportunity to take one week and make it your own. Offering terrain ranging from flat to moderately challenging climbs, each day is planned around interesting routes with ample opportunities for adventures, historic site visits, swimming, food and other rest stops. Enjoy southern hospitality at it’s finest--in Alabama. BAMA, Inc. is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit organization. Volunteers donate hundreds of hours and drive thousands of miles eacy year planning you a safe and fun ride. Volunteers are reimbursed some but not all of their expenses.
